アメリカと日本のハーフで幼少期から世界各地を転々、多様なカルチャーに触れながら育つ。2015年、ガールズ・ユニオンFAKY（フェイキー）のメンバーとして活動するため来日、15歳の時にグループとしてメジャーデビュー。Spotifyのバイラルチャートで日米Top10入り、ブラジル/カナダ/スペインでの公演、サマーソニック2年連続出演など、日本国内に止まらずグローバルに活躍を続けている。
パワフルさと繊細さを併せ持つ歌声や、世界的コレオグラファーからも認められるトップレベルのダンスパフォーマンスを武器にFAKYとして活動。その傍ら、USメジャーのポップスからオルタナティヴ、インディーR&BにヨーロッパのSSW、さらには日本のシティポップまで、独自の音楽センスで幅広く吸収してきたエッセンスを活かし自ら作詞・作曲も行ってきた。
そしてそのオリジナリティに溢れる唯一無二の音楽性と、15歳から世界を舞台に培ってきた歌唱力・表現力の高さを活かし2020年、万を持してソロデビュー。

Born in California and raised in Okinawa/America, Akina is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter living in Tokyo.
Half-American and half-Japanese, she was able to experience a variety of different cultures since childhood until now. In 2015, Akina moved to Japan to join the Girls Union FAKY and made her major debut as a member of the group at the age of 15. She has been active not only in Japan but also globally, including performances in Brazil, Canada, and Spain. She also performed in two consecutive years for Summer Sonic and has had rankings on Spotify's viral chart.
She is known as a member of FAKY with her powerful and delicate singing voice and top-level dance performances recognized by world-renowned choreographers. She writes/composes her own music inspired by her unique taste in music. She is inspired by different genres of music from U.S. pop hits to alternative, indie R&B to European singer-songwriter, and even Japanese city pop.
Guided by her unique musicality and high-performance skills that she has cultivated since she was 15 years old, she will make her solo debut in 2020.
In the midst of understanding deeper who she is where she belongs. Akina is a bicultural female artist with a universal message to share.
